I’m a PHP Developer, XHTML Coder, CSS Fiddler, Open Source Dabbler, Database Designer and Tech Geek.

In absolutely no particular order.

I was born in a small central town, called Oudtshoorn, in the Karoo region of South Africa.  There I went to school at the aptly named High School Oudtshoorn.

After graduation I went to study ND: Information Technology at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology (then Cape Technikon).

There I majored in various IT related subjects – ranging from database management, systems analysis to project management.

Part time I also dabbled a bit in COLDFUSION.

After finishing my studies and lounging ’round for a bit, I was swept up by a company called Azapi, located in the Nortern Suburbs in Cape Town, South Africa.

Azapi is headed up by Jacobus van Niekerk (Director, Lead Designer) and Gerrit Giliomee (Technical Director, Lead Developer).

There I worked on several projects, both bespoke development and developing components for their custom Content Management System.

Then after 2 fruitful years of learning/developing in PHP I moved on to broaden my skill set a bit more at Media24.

I am currently working for Media24/MIH Internet Africa as a PHP Developer.

Our technology is LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) based, with Zend Framework as our choice of MVC.
